SILK AND LINO PRINT TOP
Bridget H. Gurrie (she/her) is a Naarm/Melbourne based designer and creative practitioner who explores self-reflections and experiences through conceptual textile-focused works.
‘Does My Hair Change Me or Do I Just Change My Hair?’ top is a gathered sleeve top, utilising design lines to shape the bodice. An additional design feature is the lino-print that was developed through Bridget’s honours project ‘fibre processing’, inspired by artist Chiharu Shiota’s red thread installations. As the tops are usually made out of silk organza which is a sheer fabric, the top is finished with French seams and rolled hems. The neckline is bias bound, following through to a tie at the back of the neck.
Made to order from a Size 6-16, wait-time is 4 weeks.
Bridget can accommodate any changes that are requested such as shortening/lengthening of the sleeves and bodice hem. The amount of gathered panels can also be altered to fit the wearer.
Care Instructions: Gentle Hand-Wash with Delicate Detergent (would recommend Dirt’s Wool and Delicate Wash), Dry Flat in Shade (Due to nature of Lino-Print, it may fade over time, can always be re-printed if needed), Warm Iron can be Used. Do Not Tumble Dry or Dry Clean.
