FIBRE PROCESSING WORKSHOP

Join us for an evening of Needle Felting and making at Other Goods and Services with Bridget H. Gurrie!

Learn the basics of needle felting and wool fibres, coming away with your own felted objects - a perfect time to make any handmade gifts for the coming holiday season.

There will an opportunity for you to make your felted objects into any of the following...

  • A Magnet

  • An Ornament

  • Or keep your pieces as felted artworks that can be displayed within a space

//

WHAT IS NEEDLE FELTING?

Needle Felting is a technique that uses the repetitive poking motion of a barbed needle into wool fibres. This motion binds the fibres together, which then results in a firm fabric or object. This technique can be used for a variety of different projects and many find a relaxing and therapeutic activity to do.

//

DETAILS:

Where: Other Goods and Services, 130 Lygon St, Brunswick East

When: Tuesday 17th of December, 2024. 6:30-9pm.

What: Learn the basics of needle felting with a variety of wool fibre to make your own felted objects.

How: Take-home Needle Felting Tool Kits and all additional resources are provided, along with snacks and drinks.

But please feel free to bring along anything that will help you in your making process!

A Google Form will also be sent to all participants before the Workshop asking for dietary requirements and ideas of what they might like to make, so we can make sure to curate the perfect colour palette of fibre for you!

//

Fancy a snack?

Come feast with Hamish, Grayson and their (fake) friends. They may not be well vers-ed in hospitality but they have enjoyed many overpriced pastry in their time. Rest assured these two promise to get to the bottom of the barrel...and leave no crumbs.

Since their performances at Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2024) and Comedy On The Rocks (2023) the pot has only thickened. Independent creatives Jaiya and Loxy have decided to take their interactive performance style to the next level with an intimate evening of comedy and cuisine. They promise to serve in every sense.

Yes, darling - nibbles included!

This event will be catered by GRUEL.
